About Ingrid / Om Ingrid

Ingrid Lerbrekk lives beside the North Sea Road on the ruggedly beautiful, weather-beaten coast of Southwest Norway. Under the heather Highlands of Jæren, a small acerage surrounded by stone fences and a salmon river is home to Ingrid. Along with her husband and two daughters, they enjoy life and the nature around them with horses, dogs and cats.

At the Office / På Kontoret

Now-a-days my work place is in the office at my husband's business, Jæren Gulv. www.jaerengulv.com With ten full-time and several free-lancers, the paper mill is keeping me busy when there are not customers or trucks to unload.

The Warehouse / Lager på Jæren Gulv

The warehouse needs attention everyday to keep things orderly. The fork truck gets me out of the office and I enjoy all the truck drivers who deliver that remind me of my tool selling days in the Midwest.

The view isn't too shabby either!/Herlig Utsikt!
With the Stormy North Sea a half a mile away we learn how to enjoy the nice days when they come along. But I do feel priveleged every day when I look out my office window, whatever the weather is doing. Everyday is different and today is white caps with a bone-chilling, polar wind. In other words, nothing like the day the picture was taken!

The farmhouse where I lived/Bondegardhus
This is where I grew up. The farm house was built 1912 on a slight hilltop with many outbuilding, but not one of them is still standing today.

Young and ambitious/Ung og ivrig
Here I am standing beside the Big River mentioned so many times in Tool Tales. This picture is from 1977 when I first started my tool business and had tons of energy. There was never a doubt or a thought in the direction of failure.

That's me/Det er meg
Unloading corn into the storage bins. No wonder I liked selling tools, I just adore big equipment and working on a farm. Forget the crystal and silver, give me a wrench and hammer!

From the air/Fra luften

A bird's eye view of the farm where I gathered my mechanical mind for future references.
